2013 District Football Schedule: How does it all go down?

I'm your huckleberry, that's just my game..

Class 1 District 1:

Valle over Thayer 38-13

*I give Valle the edge over Thayer because let's be honest, they're Valle lol. Fallert's a beast and the post season is when he shines the most. Saying that, Thayer has played a pretty tough schedule for a class 1 team. Played teams like Liberty Mountain View, Mountain Grove, and Highland, Ark. I wouldn't be to surprised if they give Valle a decent game.

Class 2 District 1

Caurthersville over Malden 44-14

*Caruthersville has dominated District 1 for almost 10 years now, winning it the last 9 of 10 years. Lead by Sr QB Tyler Grissom and RB Darrell Monroe, Cville's offense is as well balanced as I have seen them in many years. Malden has the speed, but I think they lack the physicality to compete with Cville for 4 quarters. Malden will be in for a long night at Hopke Field.

Class 3 District 1

Park Hills over Ste Gen 21-14

*Park Hills has given out 6 goose eggs this year and only gave up 27 points on the year, 14 of those to Ste. Gen. I think their defense wins them this game as well. First game was at Ste. Gen so this one will be at Park Hills, so playing at home will be an advantage for the Rebels. It wouldn't surprise me to see Ste. Gen get the win though, that offense is very good. Roe and Dallas are very good backs.

Class 4 District 1

Cape Central over Hillsboro 40-32

*Cape has played a pretty tough schedule and has proven they can put up a lot of points on the board. Besides, Central has Mikey Jones and Hillsboro don't lol. Cape's offense will be to much for them to keep up with.

Class 5 District 1

Vianney over Jackson 45-30

*First game was played at Jackson and Vianney still came away with the win. It's true, Jackson was without some good players but I don't think they will be enough to get past Vianney at home. Jackson has had a tough 2 weeks with closing games out as well. Jackson will need to be firing on all cylinders in order to win this game. I'm really hoping I'm wrong with this pick though.

I figured this would have a lot of comments.

When it comes to SG and PH, there is no home field advantage. That game really could go either way. Will come down to turnovers and scores late in the first or second half.

Class 1 District 1:

Valle over Thayer 38-22

Class 2 District 1

Caurthersville over Charleston 42-12

Class 3 District 1

Park Hills over Ste Gen 24-23.

Class 4 District 1

Cape Central over Hillsboro 50-30

Class 5 District 1

Vianney over Jackson 42-21

Class 1, District 1: Valle over Chaffee. The Red Devil's Cinderella season ends with a rude awakening thanks to Fallert and his fellow Warriors as they march on to their 12th state championship.

Class 2, District 1: Caruthersville over Malden. The Tigers win big, reducing the Green Wave to a puddle. Then on to a very interesting match-up with undefeated Brentwood in the quarterfinals.

Class 3, District 1: Park Hills Central over Ste. Genevieve by 2 TD's. The Rebels have unveiled a spread offense recently in addition to their usual ball-control, run-oriented offense. The Dragons pass defenders don't fly high enough. Plus the PHC defense is just too good. A very interesting match-up with John Burroughs awaits the Rebels in the quarterfinals.

Class 4, District 1: The toughest district to pick, but Hillsboro up-ends Cape Central in a barnburner. The Tigers are peaking at the right time, but I don't think that peak is high enough to knock off Hillsboro.

Class 5, District 1: Vianney over Jackson. A closer game than last time, but Markel Smith and the Golden Griffins will scalp the Indians and win by 2 TD's.
