I have been with the Standard Democrat sports department since 2007. I took over as sports editor in May of 2011 and have been slightly crazy about sports since I can remember. I attended Southeast Missouri State University and Scott County Central High School. I co-created our sports web show "The Last Word" and my two children, Elijah and CJ. I was married to my wife, Angie, in May of 2014. I love to golf, I am an avid NBA2K gamer and root for the Fighting Irish on Saturdays.

SEMO Conference Tournament postponed

The SEMO Conference Tournament has been postponed a day due to the winter road conditions throughout the area. The plan is to keep the same game times and push the tournament back until Tuesday.
Charleston and Notre Dame will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by Jackson-Poplar Bluff at 7 p.m. Sikeston and NMCC will play the last game of the night at 8 p.m.
The final first round game between Cape Central and Kennett will be played Wednesday at 7:30. The first consolation game between the losers of the Sikeston-NMCC and Charleston-Notre Dame games will play at 6 p.m. tomorrow as well.
The tournament will continue Thursday with semifinal and consolation games.
An updated bracket of the newly scheduled tournament is above.
