SIKESTON -- Glen Francis of Dexter and Bud and Regina Griffin of Oran have announced the engagement of their daughter, Adrienne Elaine Francis, to Brooks Allen Pratt, son of Harry and Vickie Pratt of Sikeston.
A 2001 graduate of Dexter High School, the future bride is a 2005 graduate of Missouri Baptist University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in education with an emphasis in early childhood and elementary education with a minor in psychology. She is employed as a communication arts and social studies teacher at the Sikeston R-6 Fifth and Sixth Grade Attendance Center. Her grandparents are Josephine Tate of Oran and late Joe Tate and Dalton and Pat Francis.
The prospective bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Sikeston High School and a 2005 graduate of Murray State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and minored in sociology. A specialist with the 438 Military Police Company in the National Guard Unit in Murray, Ky., he is completing training with the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy in Jefferson City. Upon graduation from the Academy, he has been assigned to Troop E. He is the grandson of Jerry and Yvette Terrell of Sikeston and the late Wayman and Dorothy Pratt.
Plans are being finalized for a July 22 wedding in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
