NMCC Powder Puff game

As a fundraiser for Eagle Christmas, New Madrid County Central High School hosted a powderpuff football game on Nov. 10. The senior class, wearing the pink jerseys, outscored the juniors in the first match up but would lose to the freshmen in the final game and placed second overall.

They may have been opponents but they are also friends. A member of the senior powderpuff football team goes to help one of the junior players who was injured during play. It was a fake that fooled no one when one of the coaches for the Junior Powderpuff Football squad put on a wig and attempted to run the ball. The juniors would lost both their matchups on Nov. 10. (Jill Bock/Standard Democrat)
