SIKESTON – Sikeston’s new private office and co-working space, Center Street Station, is now open.

Located at 104 E. Center St., Center Street Station houses furnished, private offices for lease in a range of sizes as well as the city’s first co-working space – a shared workspace environment with flexible seating and amenities where individuals from different companies can work collaboratively, according to a news release from Center Street Station. These spaces are often used by freelancers, entrepreneurs, remote workers and small businesses.

“We hope that the space is an asset for the community,” said Center Street Station’s founder Alan Keenan. “We want to give small businesses an environment they can grow and be successful in. When our small businesses succeed, it’s good for the whole community.”

Built as the Bank of Sikeston in 1934 and most recently a former U.S. Bank location, Center Street Station has been completely renovated and given new life as state-of-the art office space.

These spaces include all the amenities of a traditional office without the traditional overhead costs, providing an affordable option for professional space to small businesses, according to the news release.

All private office, business and individual memberships include high-speed Internet, print/copy/scan, mail services, conference room use, private calling areas, breakout meeting spaces and 24/7 secure access. The facility also includes a classroom in partnership with Southeast Missouri State University which seats 20.

“SEMO will be offering some exciting new learning opportunities in the Redhawk Classroom at Center Street Station,” said Dan Presson, SEMO’s Assistant Vice President of Economic and Workforce Development. “We are thrilled to be partnering with them to bring more small business development and training resources to Sikeston”

Center Street Station also offers event space for a capacity of 40-60 attendees.
