BERNIE - Dale Kester, 57, died April 24, 2006, at his home.
Born March 22, 1949, at Poplar Bluff, son of Jessie Lee Kester of Bernie and the late Arthur Kester, he was a set-up operator for Arvin-Meritor in Dexter and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Vietnam War.
On March 24, 1973, at Fisk, he married Anita Willeford who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: one daughter, Amber Sage of Campbell; one brother, John Kester of Bernie; and three sisters, Maria Teets of Bernie and Judy Reed and Donna Robinson of Dexter.
Services were conducted at 10 a.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Chapel in Dexter. The Revs. Terry Scott and Virgil Pulliam officiated.
Burial followed in the Brown Chapel Cemetery at Broseley.
