SIKESTON -- Harold Herbert Jester, 61, died Jan. 1, 2017.

Born Dec. 27, 1945, in Oran, son of the late William and Dortch Jester, he worked in set-up and operation with milling machines and retired from Jacobsen Textron.

He loved old cars, tinkering and inventing new gadgets.

Survivors include: one daughter, Kelly Jester of Kenosha, Wis.; one grandson, Devin Buirge of Kenosha; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Betsy Jester of Oran and Brenda Taylor and Lee McKinnies of DuQuoin, Ill.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Garrett and Pat Jester of Yakima, Wash., and Lloyd and Marion Jester of Kenosha; a brother-in-law, Jack Miller of Miner; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Katherine Miller.

A celebration of life will be from 4-5 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at Victory Life Center, 419 South Railroad in Oran. Brian Flanigan, pastor, will officiate.
