CHARLESTON, Mo. — Karen Batson Fox, 61, died April 6, 2020, at her home in Charleston.
Born Feb. 3, 1959, at Poplar Bluff, daughter of the late James Shelby Batson and Katherine Batson, she had lived in Poplar Bluff many years and was a graduate of Three Rivers College with a Bachelor of Science in business and science. She moved 22 years ago to Charleston where she was a member of the United Methodist Church in Charleston and had been employed with the Missouri Department of Transportation until she retired.
She was married to Leslie Shelby Fox who preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one brother, James (Janie) Batson of Poplar Bluf; and many cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Donald Batson.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston. The Rev. J. Robert Webster, pastor of the United Methodist Church in Charleston, will officiate.
Burial will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
