KELSO -- Leroy Lawrence Reinagel, 80, died early Friday morning, April 14, 2006, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 17, 1925, at Kelso, he was the son of William Martin Reinagel and Regina J. Leible. He and Bernice Cecilia Glastetter were married April 2, 1945, at St. Lawrence Church in New Hamburg.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was self-employed as a building contractor most of his life. He and Bernice founded Kelso Supply Co. in 1974.
Survivors include: his wife; one daughter, Roxanna (Gary) Ziegler of Kelso; four sons, Tom (Susan) Reinagel of Cape Girardeau, Allan (Barbara) Reinagel, Ray (Lisa) Reinagel and Kenneth Reinagel, all of Kelso.
Grandchildren include: Brian (Kim) Ziegler of Kelso; Alan Ziegler of San Jose, Calif.; Kristin (Tom) Preusser of St. Louis; Scott Reinagel of Cape Girardeau; Barbara (Joey) Bernard of Scott City; Allan Wayne Reinagel II of Kelso; Lindsay and Lauren Reinagel of Kelso; Joy (Dean) Livesay of Cape Girardeau; Jacob Reinagel of New Hamburg.
Great-grandchildren include: Anne, Addie and Ali Ziegler of Kelso; Alexander Preusser of St. Louis; Myriah Bernard of Scott City; Hayden Reinagel and Skye Livesay of Cape Girardeau.
Leroy is also survived by his sister, Viola Gosche of Kelso, and brother, Jim Reinagel of Cape Girardeau. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Alvina Gosche; two brothers, Linus and Henry Reinagel; and one grandson, Christopher John Reinagel.
A funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. today at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso with the Rev. Oliver Clavin presiding.
Burial followed in the parish cemetery in Kelso.
Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel of Scott City was in charge of arrangements.
