SIKESTON -- Marilyn G. Dorsey, 55, died April 17, 2012, at her home.
Born Dec. 8, 1956, in Shelby, Miss., to the late James and Ruby Mae Mercer Dorsey, she was the owner of Toyland Day and Night Care and a foster parent for the state of Missouri. She was a member of Sikeston Disco Riders M.C. Club and of the Baptist belief.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin Betts and Frank Allen.
She is survived by: three sons, Willekis Dorsey of Kansas City, Mo., and Emory McCauley III and Trayvon Mitchell of Sikeston; four daughters and one son-in-law, Shareca Dorsey, Ann Dorsey and Adria and Mike Robinson of Sikeston and Stephanie Burpo of Jonesboro, Ark.; one brother, Bill Standors of Chicago; two sisters, Ceola Betts of Cape Girardeau and Mable Dorsey of Sikeston; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until time of services at noon Saturday at the West End Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston with the Rev. Chester Yarber, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston with the Williams Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
