SIKESTON — Sydney Slipis and Nathen Parden are the parents of their first child, a son, born at 7:19 a.m. Feb. 23, 2025, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Liam James Parden weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce and was 18-1/4 inches long.

Maternal grandparents are Clay Slipis of Scott City, Missouri, and Crystal Owens of Matthews, Missouri.

Paternal grandparents are Shawn Parden of Cassie Parden of Sikeston.
