I cannot believe what Jason Smith authored in his Aug. 12 Standard Democrat column. He stated that it is unconstitutional to vote by mail. Voting is a constitutional right. There is nothing in the constitution which says voting by mail is illegal. All Americans should be able to safely cast their vote by whatever means are available. I think Jason Smith’s comments is nothing more than an act of voter suppression. He is obviously afraid of the election results.
