Sharks fare well at Poplar Bluff swim meet

POPLAR BLUFF -- The Sikeston Sharks swim team had several top performers at last week's swim meet in Poplar Bluff.

The Sharks' top performer was 11-year-old Natalie Stevens, who placed first in the 100 freestyle, second in the 50 back stroke and second in the 50 freestyle.

Also having a strong day was 12-year-old Rachael Tate, who placed second in both the 50 breast stroke and 50 butterfly.

Other swimmers that placed were Kaitlin Burton, third place in the 9-10-year-

old breast stroke; Anna Kate Klueppel, second in the 8-under 25 breast; Ben Martin, third in the 8-under 25 back stroke; Caroline Martin, third in the 13-14 50 free style; Grant Stoner, second in the 6-under 25 back stroke; Grace Urhahn, second in the 6-under 25 back stroke.

The girls 8-under 100 freestyle relay team of Madeline Urhahn, Klueppel, Sydney Raymond and Hanna Payne placed first.
