DEXTER - Gladys Mae Mallory, 69, died Sept. 14, 2007, at her home.
Born Sept. 27, 1937, to the late James Edwin and Lilly Irene Bright Mardis, since 1969 she had lived in Dexter where she was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.
On Feb. 10, 1957, in Bloomington, Ill., she married Duane K. Mallory, who preceded her in death on Oct. 28, 1995.
Two brothers, James Mardis and Roger Mardis, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: three daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Andy Eubanks of Pineville, La., Lori and Melvin Davis of Crossville, Tenn., and Karen and Willie Fortman of Dexter; four brothers, Alvin Mardis and Richard Mardis of Bloomington, Larry Mardis of Jonesboro, Ga., and Edward Mardis of Escondido, Calif; three sisters, Jewell Brown and Shirley Sullivan of Bloomington and Juanita Malcolm of Heyworth, Ill.; and six grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, six step-great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter. The Rev. Danny Collins of Broseley will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
