SIKESTON -- Shawna Lynn Tidwell, 27, died Sept. 13, 2007, in Sikeston.
Born March 18, 1980, in Okinawa, Japan, she was the daughter of Ricky Tidwell of Sikeston and Denise Smiley Elwood of Temecula, Calif. She was a 1998 graduate of Sikeston High School, where she had been a member of the Red Peppers and women's track team. She was employed as a secretary at Double D Tractor in Sikeston and was of the Southern Baptist belief.
In addition to her parents, survivors include: her stepmother, Susan Tidwell of Sikeston; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bradley and Kristi Tidwell of Springfield and Robby and Claudia Hamby of Sikeston; one sister, Ricci Tidwell of Sikeston; paternal grandparents, Ann and Z.E. Tidwell of Sikeston; maternal grandparent, Vonceil Smiley of Towanda, Kan.; and two nieces, Kylee Tidwell of Springfield and Chloe Hamby of Sikeston.
Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m. today at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Steve Vestor, pastor of Old Bethel Baptist Church, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Larry Tidwell of Sikeston.
Burial will follow at the Old Bethel Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Brad Tidwell, Roger Tidwell, Larry Tidwell, Robbie Hamby, Mike Lambert and Warren Lambert.
