BENTON - Louis Paul Glastetter, 81, died at 3:07 a.m. Sept. 14, 2007, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Aug. 2, 1926, in Kelso, to the late Paul Joseph and Anna Helen Scherer Glastetter, he was a farmer. He also worked for Lightner and St. Joseph Cemeteries as a cemetery sexton and for the Drury Company. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton.
On March 28, 1951, at New Hamburg, he married Anna Mary Bucher, who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Thomas Glastetter of Cape Girardeau and Robert Glastetter of Benton; six daughters, Helen Miller of Scott City, Anna Presley of West Frankfort, Ill. and Lori Seyer, Nancy Buell, Jane Lix and Bonnie Hulshof, all of Benton; three brothers, Bill Glastetter and John Glastetter of Scott City and Sylvester Glastetter of Kelso; five sisters, Aurelia Muster of Gordonville, Rita Kluesner of Chaffee, Helen Vandeven of Leopold, Coletta Neff of Waterloo, Ill. and Bertha Seyer of Dutchtown; and 17 grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, one sister preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton. The Rev. Normand Varone will serve as Celebrant.
Burial will follow in the St. Denis Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Daniel Seyer, Justin Glastetter, Christopher Crook, Josh Buell, Jacob Buell, Samuel Lix, John Lix and Louis Hulshof.
