Sikeston -- Mary Lee Nelson, 67, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Sept. 15, 2007, at Clearview Nursing Center after a courageous battle with cancer. Born Nov. 9, 1939, in Fayette, Ala., daughter of the late Eulas Clinton and Sylvia Rosetta (Tidwell) Hubbert, she was a faithful member of Temple of Faith General Baptist Church in Sikeston. Sikeston -- Mary Lee Nelson, 67, passed away at 3:30 a.m. Sept. 15, 2007, at Clearview Nursing Center after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born Nov. 9, 1939, in Fayette, Ala., daughter of the late Eulas Clinton and Sylvia Rosetta (Tidwell) Hubbert, she was a faithful member of Temple of Faith General Baptist Church in Sikeston. She had been a cook for various restaurants including her own over the years, but most recently an associate of the Standard Democrat.

Devoted mother and grandmother, she is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, John Nelson and Donnie and DeAnna Nelson all of Sikeston; two daughters and one son-in-law, Diane and Preston Cook of Morehouse and Judie Bass of Essex; one brother, Ruben Hubbert of Essex; her friend and former husband, Don Nelson of Sikeston; nine grandchildren and 14 great-

grandchildren, with whom all she loved and faithfully prayed for daily. She was preceded in death by one sister, Margaret "Marge" St. Mary.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Loy Miller, pastor of Temple of Faith, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
