Ed Standridge

BLOOMFIELD - Charles Edward "Ed" Standridge, 64, died Aug. 20, 2004, at his home.

Born July 6, 1940, in Lamar, Ark., son of the late Samuel and Lois Sparks Standridge, he lived in Bloomfield for the past 35 years. He was a farmer and retired in June 2003 from the Nestle Purina Company near Bloomfield.

On Feb. 22, 1964, he married Wanda Kem who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, John Standridge of Bloomfield; two daughters, Sandy Lynxwiler and Barbara Ann Finch of Bloomfield; four brothers, Samuel Standridge of New Concord, Ky., Kenneth Standridge of Wappapello and Dwayne Standridge and Earl "Bill" Standridge of Sikeston; four sisters, Blanche Hardin of Dardanelle, Ark., Marie Phillips of Tulsa, Okla., Wanda Walters of Matthews and Wilma Hasler of Fort Collins, Colo.; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, David Wayne Standridge; and one brother and two sisters.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday. The Rev. Bob Holland will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
