MALDEN - Mary Louise Shelton, 87, died Aug. 19, 2004, at the Beverly Health and Rehab Center in Malden.

Born Oct. 5, 1916, in Clarkton, daughter of the late C.C. and Sarah Elizabeth Preston Crabtree, she was a cook for Malden Schools and nursing home supervisor before retiring. She was of the Baptist belief.

On Oct. 14, 1933, at Piggott, Ark., she married Wesley George Shelton who preceded her in death.

Survivors include: six daughters, Georgia Albright of Gulf Shores, Ala., Sue Beall of Malden, Jetty Heide of St. Paul, Minn., Sara Kalkbrenner of Bartlett, Tenn., Melba Lipps of Glendale, Ariz., and Verna Moel of Hollywood, Fla.; two sons, Bruce Shelton of Dexter and Wesley Shelton of Jackson, Miss.; and 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Also preceding her in death were one son, Dewayne Shelton; and one grandson, Scott Shelton.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Landess Funeral Home in Malden, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
