DEXTER - Calvin C. Rodgers, 76, died Aug. 25, 2001, at his home near Dexter.

Born Jan. 18, 1925, at rural Essex to the late Robert and Pearl Zile Rodgers, he was a retired driver for Hart Truck Lines in Dexter and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II.

On Dec. 6, 1947, at Piggott, Ark., he married Mary Catherine Wilson, who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Kenneth Marion Rodgers of Dexter; four daughters, Deborah Gail Morgan of Springfield and Pamela Kay Kruse, Linda Diane McCollough and Sheila Ann Alsup of Dexter; three sisters, Ethel Sheldon of Belleville, Ill., Nina Geary of Salem and Barbara Williams of Dexter; and 11 grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, one great-granddaughter and three great-stepgrandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. today at the Rainey Funeral Home with the Revs. W.H. Worth and Doyle Corlew officiating.

Burial will follow in the Chalk Bluff Cemetery near Dexter.
