Andrew Heisserer

ORAN - Andrew V. Heisserer, 87, died at 5 p.m. Sept. 1, 2001, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.

Born July 29, 1914, near Oran, son of the late Victor and Bertha Schott, he was a retired self-employed farmer and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. A member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church and St. Joseph Sodality, he was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council 4311 and Morley VFW Post 5368.

On Jan. 15, 1949, he married Louise Roloff who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: four sons, Victor Heisserer of Benton and Gene Heisserer, Kenneth Heisserer and Duane Heisserer of Oran; two brothers, T.S. Heisserer of St. Louis and Sylvester Heisserer of Cape Girardeau; one sister, LaVern Hartley of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren.

Three brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter also preceded him in death.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. today at Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev. John Harth officiating.

Burial followed in the Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Bob Heisserer, Jim Heisserer, John Mayfield, Ron Mayfield, John Moellenhott and Rick Geringer.
