CAMPBELL - Vadie Joiner, 79, died Oct. 28, 2001, at Three Rivers Healthcare North.

Born Jan. 3, 1922, in Dyersburg, Tenn., daughter of the late Jessie and Ona Pate Hallum, she was of the Baptist belief.

She and Floyd Joiner were married in Blytheville, Ark., and he preceded her in death in March 1966.

Survivors include: one son, Bob Hallum of Holcomb; five daughters, Sue Nelson of Poplar Bluff, Shirley Rucker, Christine Blagg and Debbie Purkey of Sikeston and Diane Palmer of Alabama; two brothers, Tom Hallum of Dyersburg and James Hallum of California; one sister, Betty Hallum of Paris, Tenn.; and 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were two sons, Jimmy Joiner and Jerry Joiner; one daughter, Vickie Ogden; two sisters, Sadie Kalwick and Trubie Collins; and one brother, Curtis "Bud" Hallum.

Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Richard Blagg will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.
