Tillie Pobst

CAPE GIRARDEAU - Tillie Mae Pobst, 91, died at 5:30 a.m. April 8, 2002, at the Ratliff Care Center.

Born July 25, 1910, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of the late Lawrence and Effie Knight Pobst Sr., she had been a seamstress at Ely Walker and worked for Florsheim Shoe Company for 32 years before retiring in 1974. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Commerce.

Survivors include: one brother, Marshall Pobst of Scott City; and three sisters, Florence Edmonds, Mary Frances Pickens and Pauline Kraft of Cape Girardeau.

One brother and three sisters preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Larry Lawman will officiate.

Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.
