DEXTER -- Earl D. Adams, 65, died Dec. 26, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born May 11, 1938, at Dexter, son of the late Walter and Thelma Wilkerson Adams, he was a member of the Southwest Church of the Nazarene at Dexter and the owner of the Tom's Food Franchise in Dexter for member years. He was a former member of the National Guard.

On Oct. 18, 1958, at Dexter, he married Anna Mae Smiley who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Nathan Earl Adams of Shreveport, La.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Earlinda and Wayne Moonier of Perryville and Deborah and Douglas Kirkpatrick of Dexter; one brother, Rev. John Lee Adams of Dexter; and three grandchildren.

One daughter, JoAnna Mae Adams, preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Tuesday.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
