Margery Street

CAPE GIRARDEAU -- Margery C. Woodside Street, 84, formerly of Sikeston, died at 9:35 p.m. Sept. 20, 2004, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Dec. 14, 1919, in Hyman, daughter of the late Henry Ried and Martha Anna Dunklin Woodside, she had been a supervisor for the Division of Family Services and a member of LaCroix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. She had been a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years and served as church pianist at the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston.

On March 1, 1942, in Hernando, Miss., she married Francis Edward "Bud" Street who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Francis E. Street Jr. of St. Louis; two daughters, Claire Campbell and Diane Cantrell of Cape Girardeau; one brother, Dr. Robert Woodside of San Antonio, Texas; one sister, Gayle Ebaugh of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at the Dempster Chapel of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston with the Rev. Fred Leist of the First United Methodist Church of Dexter and the Rev. Bill Koch of the First United Methodist Church of Sikeston officiating.

Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
