Sikeston tennis opens season with 9-0 sweep of Chaffee

SIKESTON -- Sikeston's girls tennis team, in their season opener, cruised to a 9-0 sweep of Chaffee on Tuesday.

"We all played strong today," said Lady Bulldog coach Lynne DeWitt.

"The girls looked good for the first match. We have some things to work on, but, hopefully, experience will help."

Sikeston hosts Dexter on Wednesday and Caruthersville on Thursday.
