Mabel Northcutt

SIKESTON - Mabel Northcutt, 78, died May 30, 2002, at her home.

Born Oct. 4, 1923, in Mississippi County, Ark., daughter of the late John Luther and Jennie Frazier Nimmo, she was a member of the Morehouse Baptist Church.

On March 10, 1941, she married Marshall H. Northcutt who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Charles Allen Northcutt of Cape Girardeau; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Donald Ledbetter of Sikeston; two brothers, John Nimmo and Jerry Nimmo of Sikeston; two sisters, Estelle Oliver and Wanda Tippy of Sikeston; six grandchildren, Donald Joe Ledbetter, Tod Ledbetter and Amy Hardin of Sikeston, Shane Northcutt and Clint Northcutt of Claremore, Okla., and Scott Northcutt of Dexter; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Bruce Dwain Northcutt; three brothers, Bob Nimmo, Dale Nimmo and Kenneth Nimmo; and one sister, Virginia Parris.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Dolan Rogers, pastor of the Sikeston Community Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Bloomfield Cemetery.
