KANSAS CITY - Marvin E. Jones, 82, formerly of Dexter, died Dec. 25, 2003, at his home.

Born June 8, 1921, in Bernie, son of the late J. Tribble and Ora Walker Jones, he was a member of the Ballwin Baptist Church in Ballwin. A U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and recipient of three Purple hearts, he retired as an administrative law judge for the Environmental Protection Agency in Kansas City.

On Nov. 10, 1943, at Bernie, he married Vivian Norman who preceded him in death on April 1, 2000.

He and Edna Cokley Carlisle were married Feb. 13, 2002, at Clearwater, Fla., and she survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three daughters and two sons-in-law, Lynn and Don Stone of Ballwin, Susan and Jeff Muenks of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Emily Fowler of Overland Park, Kan.; and five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Garcia Lee Jones and Charles Maurice Jones; and one sister, Lucille Jones.

Visitation is from 1 p.m. Monday until service time at 2 p.m. at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Burial will follow in the Sadler Chapel Cemetery near Dexter.
