LILBOURN - Tommy Newsom has announced the engagement of his daughter, Deirdre LuShelle Stevenson, to Michael Antonio Browning, son of O.D. and Carolyn Powell of Greenville, Miss. The future bride is also the daughter of the late Patricia Newsom.

Stevenson graduated in 1990 from New Madrid County Central High School and her fiance graduated in 1990 from Crenshaw High School.

Both are employed by Good Humor-Breyers in Sikeston.

The couple will exchange wedding vows July 10 in Las Vegas, Nev.
