ADVANCE -- Amanda Jill Johnson and Jeramy Shane Roberts exchanged wedding vows in a Sept. 6, 2003, ceremony before the Rev. Tom Zych at the Advance United Methodist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Johnson Jr. of Advance and parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Groves of Morehouse.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Trio Girardeaux.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and Emily Johnson of St. Louis served her sister as maid of honor. Shelley Keeney of Advance attended the bride as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Sally Benefiel of Orlando, Fla., Whitney Wade of Cape Girardeau, Tracy Tousignant of Jackson, Tosha Pattengill of Benton and Melissa Hitt of Advance. Flower girl was Anna Hughes, cousin of the bride and daughter of Kevin and Ella Hughes of Benton.
Gregg Fowler of Essex attended his cousin as best man. Groomsmen were Jamie Ross of Cape Girardeau, Bryan Hansen of Atlanta, Ga., Eric Ross of Essex, Carey Homra of Nashville, Tenn., and Brian Faith and Adam Whiteside of Paducah, Ky. Ringbearer was Dakota Robins, cousin of the bride and son of Larry and Kristy Robins of Advance.
Ushers were Adam Johnson of Advance brother of the bride, Mark Thorne and Dallas Petty of Sikeston and Eric Blair, John Taylor and Jeremy Conner of Essex.
Guest book attendants were Erica and Taylor DeWitt of Morehouse, cousins of the bridegroom and Emelia Kamp of Patton, cousin of the bride.
The wedding reception was held at the Drury Lodge in Cape Girardeau, where guests were served by Pam and Leslie Richmond, Jennifer Welch and Mary Gayle Westbrook of Advance.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted Sept. 5 at the church by the bridegroom's parents.
The new Mrs. Roberts received a bachelor's degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University and is a registered nurse at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Roberts earned a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Murray State (Ky.) University and works in the risk management division of the Food Giant Corporation.
Following a honeymoon to Panama City, Fla., Mr. and Mrs. Roberts are making their home in Cape Girardeau.
