Betty Beck

MARQUAND - Betty Beck, 73, died Nov. 22, 2003, at the Mineral Area Regional Medical Center in Farmington.

Born May 20, 1930, in New Madrid, she was the daughter of the late James and Nellie Croach Sheppard.

On April 28, 1951, in Piggott, Ark., she married Edward Acie Beck who preceded her in death on March 4, 1983.

Survivors include: one son, Ronald Beck Sr. of Marquand; one brother, Russell Sheppard of Gainesville; two sisters, Evelyn Taylor of New Madrid and Melba Moore of West Covina, Calif.; and five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Burial will follow in the Stanfield Cemetery at Clarkton.
