Dr. Michael Bader

Sylvester, Ga. - Dr. Michael John Bader, 50, formerly of Dexter, Mo., died June 17, 2002, at Shands at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Born Jan. 26, 1952, son of Rita Litzler Bader of Dexter and the late Louis C. Bader, he was a member of Our Divine Savior Catholic Church. He received his Ph.D in agricultural engineering in 1989 at the University of Kentucky and was an extension engineer for the biological and agricultural engineering department of the University of Georgia Rural Development Center at Tifton.

On April 30, 1988, he married Linda Lou Rausch who survives of the home.

Survivors in addition to his wife and mother include: two brothers, Louis C. "Butch" Bader Jr. of Scott City, Mo., and Kenny J. Bader of Columbia, Mo.; four sisters, Catherine Bockhold of Dexter, Shearon Harris of Bernie, Mo., Jovita Klott of Hermann, Mo., and Roberta Cecil of Overland Park, Kan.; and four grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday at the Chalk Bluff Cemetery in rural Dexter with the Rev. John Sheley officiating.

Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of local arrangements.
