WEST PLAINS - Ruby M. Hamby, 82, formerly of Puxico, died Dec. 4, 2003, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City.

Born May 17, 1921, in Puxico, daughter of the late Andy E. and Nettie M. Wright Hubbard, she had lived in Blytheville, Ark., most of her life and lived in West Plains for the past 28 years. She owned an operated several cosmetology schools before retiring.

She was married first to Leslie Carrol Larkin and second husband Joe Hamby. They preceded her in death.

Survivors include: three sons and two daughters-in-law, Leslie Gerald Larkin of Jonesboro, Ark., Edwin Marshall and Pam Larkin of Yorktown, Va., and George Robert and Brenda Larkin of Overland Park, Kan.; one daughter and son-in-law, Patricia Loraine and Doug Paterson of Toronto, Canada; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and special friends, Shirley and Warren Sullivan of West Plains.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Fairview United Methodist Church near Puxico with Eddie Creech officiating.

Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery near Puxico.

Watkins and Sons Funeral Home of Dexter is in charge of arrangements.
