Nola Tidwell

SIKESTON - Nola E. Tidwell, 82, died at 9:52 p.m. Feb. 27, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Sept. 26, 1920, in Marietta, Ga., daughter of the late John and Lucy Groover Tucker, she was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston.

On April 12, 1952, in Bloomfield, she married Hays W. Tidwell who preceded her in death on Jan. 21, 1985.

One brother and eight sisters also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: one stepson, Carlos Tidwell of Abilene, Texas; one stepdaughter, Evelyn T. Stutts of Sikeston; two stepgrandchildren, Theresa Ann Stutts of Sikeston and Shawn Stutts of Cape Girardeau; one stepgreat-grandson, Wesley James Contino of Cape Girardeau; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. Monday until service time at 11 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Allen Basham, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
