SIKESTON - Clarence Preston "Junior" Black, 82, died at 6:10 p.m. Feb. 6, 2003, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born April 17, 1920, in Wyatt, son of the late Clarence Preston and Dollie Mae Graham Black, he was a car salesman in Sikeston and Charleston and had worked for the Sikeston Motor Company for 20 years before retiring. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston.
On May 15, 1949, he married Louise Murphy who preceded him in death on May 31, 1977. He and Joanna Taylor were married Oct. 13, 1978, and she died on Feb. 10, 2001.
Survivors include: one brother, Allen Black of Malden; one sister, Louise Tweedy of Anna, Ill.; and two nieces and five nephews.
Two sisters, Ida Ruth Clack and Lucy Dever, also preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday. His nephew, Dr. John Dever of Louisville, Ky., will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Sandy Schaller, associate pastor of the First United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
