Five are arrested for drugs

PARMA - An ongoing narcotics investigation in Stoddard County has led to charges against five Parma residents.

Early today search warrant was served by members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, SEMO Drug Task Force and the Stoddard County Sheriff's Department at the residence located on Stoddard County Road 780 at the intersection with Stoddard County Road 283, just outside of Parma. The house is occupied by Edward Ben Hardin, 21, and Amanda K. Crosno, 21, of Parma.

During a search of the residence, officers found 52 individual bags containing approximately 46 grams of "ice" methamphetamine. Also seized at the residence was $4,861.

Hardin and Crosno were taken into custody. Also at the residence and arrested were William "Soupy" Campbell, 47, Christopher Allen, 21, and Lisa Buchanan, 35, all of Parma.

The five are being held in the Stoddard County Jail on charges of possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.
