SIKESTON - Bell Lovell Lane, 88, formerly of East Prairie, died at 3:21 p.m. Nov. 21, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

Born Dec. 16, 1913, at Hoxie, Ark., daughter of the late Charles and Lela Bell Goman Dyer, she lived in East Prairie and Charleston most of her life and was of the Baptist belief.

On Nov. 7, 1936, she married Harry D. Lane who preceded her in death on May 5, 1992.

Survivors include: one son, Ronald Lane of Lexington, Ky.; three daughters, Norma Jean Freeman of El Centro, Calif., Judy Owens of East Prairie and Linda Jackson of Charleston; and 19 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

One daughter Patsy Syfrett, also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. Wednesday until service time at 11 a.m. at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. The Rev. Bob Burnes, pastor of the House of Prayer Independent Baptist Church of Grant City, will officiate.

Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
