Wilburn Green

BELL CITY - Wilburn S. Green, 76, died Nov. 25, 2002, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Born Sept. 19, 1926, in Holland, Mo., daughter of the late Robert and Jenette Wimberly Smothers, she lived in the Bell City area most of her life and was of the Pentecostal belief. She retired from the Elder Manufacturing Company.

On Feb. 14, 1959, she married Elmer Green who preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1993.

Two daughters, two sons, two brothers, four sisters and one grandchild also preceded her in death.

Survivors include: two sons, Larry Sides of Dresden, Tenn., and Wayne Green of Bell City; three daughters, Edna Scheible of Bloomfield, Jenny Jennings of Bell City and Wanda Pounds of Whitewater; one sister, Edna Hampton of Dexter; and 17 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted at 2 p.m. today at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Ethel Myers officiating.

Burial followed in the Gravel Hill Cemetery near Bloomfield.
