Braves no match for 'Jays

MORLEY -- The Charleston Bluejays posted another uncontested win on Friday night, blistering Scott Central 84-60.

Ashton Farmer scored a game-high 16 points for the Bluejays, followed by Joshua Strayhorn with 15, Deshaundray Hamilton with 14, Kewain Gant with 12 and Marcus Biles with 11.

Charleston jumped out to a 19-10 lead and never looked back, outscoring the Braves 25-13 in the second quarter, then 40-37 in the second half.

For Scott Central, Chris Pullen led the way with 12 points. Ernest McCray contributed nine points in the loss.

Charleston (14-3) has now won 10 of its last 11 games and will be back in action next Friday, hosting Kelly.

Scott Central (5-9) has lost four straight and will participate in the Scott-Mississippi tournament this week.

The Braves will take on East Prairie tomorrow at 7:30 p.m.
