Ward - Jones

SCOTT CITY - Cheryl Ann Wiggins Ward and Walter Ray "Wally" Jones have announced their engagement.

The future bride is the daughter of Duane Wiggins of Advance and the late Gonnie Wiggins and the prospective bridegroom is the son of Charles Jones of Calhoun, Ky., and the late Nancy Jones.

Ward graduated in 1974 from Advance High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree in 1978 from Southeast Missouri State University at Cape Girardeau, where her major was social work. She has been a licensed clinical social worker in Missouri since 1991. She is director of community psychiatric rehabilitation services for Bootheel Counseling Services in Sikeston.

Jones graduated in 1979 from Scott City High School and is pursuing a degree in industrial technology at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff. He is shift foreman in the production division of Lone Star Industries in Cape Girardeau.

The couple will be married June 8 in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.
