Woman killed in accident

DUTCHTOWN - A Chaffee woman lost her life late Friday when she was involved in a two-vehicle accident near Dutchtown.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the accident at 11:45 p.m. on State Highway 25, one mile south of Dutchtown in Cape Girardeau County. According to reports, Bethani Vandeven, 21, was driving south when she crossed the center line and struck a northbound vehicle head-on, which was driven by Larry J. Britt of Advance. Britt, who was seriously injured, was transported by air to Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
