MORLEY -- Scott County Central improved to 4-1 with a 103-37 win over Zalma on Tuesday.

"We got the fastbreak going early and everything was working," said Scott Central coach Melvin Porter.

Isaac Porter led the Braves with 27 points, while teammates Jeremy Johnson and Ray Rogers added 19 and 12, respectively.

EAST PRAIRIE -- East Prairie (3-1, 0-1)) defeated Chaffee 69-19 on Tuesday in the Scott-Mississippi Conference opener for both teams.

The Eagles got scoring balance from Jordan Sanders (13), Preston Shoemaker (12), Anthony Smith (11), Dez Johnson (9) and Ben Walters (9).

RISCO -- Risco defeated Holcomb 58-50 on Tuesday to even its season record at 2-2.

"It was a very physical game," said Risco coach Brandon Blankenship, "and I was proud of my guys for playing tough."

The Tigers broke the game open with an 18-6 third-quarter advantage, triggered by their fullcourt pressure.

Brice Earnheart paced Risco with 20 points. Andrew Halford contributed 13 and Robert Fowler 12.

Risco travels to Bernie on Friday.

ESSEX - Richland's Rebels got their first win of the season win of the season, defeating the Campbell Camels Tuesday night.

Jackie Smith blazed the trail for the Rebel offense, notching 24 to lead all scorers in the game.

"We played awful hard" Richland coach Doyle Denbow said. "We just won it on defense and wore them down late in the game. We just got after them on defense."
