Russell Clark

SHIPMAN, Ill. - Russell C. Clark, 69, died March 8, 2002, at Alton Memorial Hospital in Alton.

Born June 4, 1932, in Puxico, Mo., son of the late Arch and Mary VanSyoc Clark, he was a truck driver for Amoco Oil Company before retiring in 1993 and U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Woodburn Baptist Church, Honda Motorcycle Club, Gold Wing Motorcycle Club, Teamsters Local 525 and Lewis and Clark Radio Club in Godfrey.

On Nov. 27, 1955, at Dexter, Mo., he married Pansy R. McClard who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Valerie and William George Roach of Brighton and Vonda and Thomas Robert Walter of Godfrey; three brothers, James Clark of Fosterburg and Jearl Clark and George Clark of Puxico; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. Monday until service time at 1:30 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Puxico. The Rev. Johnny Buttry of Puxico will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Puxico Cemetery.
