SIKESTON - Remember childhood trips to the dentist? The office was approached with knees shaking, heart pounding, voice quivering. Don't feel alone. Many children - and sometimes adults - are afraid of the dentist. But 3-year-old Codee Elliott's first experience at a dentist's office was in the Elks Mobile Dental Unit, which is recognizing its 31st year of providing free dental service to Missourians.

COLUMBIA - While the Hearnes Center goal seemed to have a locked lid on top for most of the players, Scott Central's Shatonya Fort had the key. The returned All-Stater scored 24 points to lead the Bravettes into the Class 1A state championship, 42-36, over Wellington-Napoleon in a game that started at 9 a.m. Scott Central will take a 25-2 record into Saturday's 6:25 p.m. title contest against the winner of today's Rich Hill-North Shelby matchup.
