DEXTER -- Leonard Creg, 86, died July 10, 2003, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

Born Aug. 19, 1916, in Advance, son of the late Walter McClellen and Ethel Belle Jerles Creg, he was a member of the New Bethel General Baptist Church near Dexter, a retired farmer, former manager of a Bernie gas station and a former employee of Public Water District No. 1.

On Aug. 18, 1934, at Bernie, he married Ivorene Davis who survives of the home.

In addition to his wife, survivors include: two sons, Dale Creg of Dexter and Gary Creg of Eureka; two brothers, Harold "Bud" Creg and Wayne Creg of Dexter; two sisters, Ruby Crow of Bernie and Betty Jones of Dexter; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Two sons, Bobby Gene Creg and Wilson Lee Creg; and one brother, Dawsey Denzil Creg, also preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday. The Rev. Clifford Wray will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
