DEXTER -- Harry L. Anderson, 70, died June 9, 2004, at Missouri Southern Healthcare.

Born Jan. 11, 1934, in Dexter, son of the late Frank and Effie Treat Anderson, he was a mechanic for Bud Shell Ford in Dexter for 32 years. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he was a member of the Dexter Elk's Lodge 2439.

His wife, Nell Anderson, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Terry Anderson of Indianapolis, Ind.; one daughter, Laurie Landes of Nashville, Tenn.; two stepsons, Darrel Manuel of Dexter and Dean Manuel of Advance; one brother, Walter Anderson of Peoria, Ill.; one sister, Gladsia Bland of Dexter; and four grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and one great-stepgrandchild.

Three brothers, Lester Anderson, Merlin Anderson and Kenneth Anderson, preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter, where services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday.

The Revs. Lester Clayton and Fred Leist will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Old Bethel Cemetery near Dexter.
