SENATH -- Caruthersville and Hayti both advanced in the 2A District 1 tournament at Senath-Hornersville on Tuesday night.

Caruthersville (14-10) will face Twin Rivers on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Hayti (14-11) will play top-seeded Portageville on Thursday at 6 p.m.

Caruthersville outscored Campbell 19-18 in the first quarter, 16-14 in the second, 20-13 in the third, then 17-13 in the fourth.

Bryant Rodgers led the Tigers with 16 points, followed by Chris Springer with 15, Anthony Morgan with 13 and Shaudre Jennings with 12.

Grant Nole led Campbell with 21 points, followed by Jared Odom with 10.

Malden led 8-6 at the end of the first quarter, then Hayti turned on the offense like a light switch. The Indians outscored the Green Wave 16-13 in the second, 16-13 in the third, then 22-11 in the fourth.

Derek Moore led Hayti with 21 points. William Moore and Pete Peterson each contributed 13. James Farr paced Malden with 10 points. Mario Payne and Jamall Kilgore each contributed eight.
