SIKESTON - Thus far, the 1990s have been dismal for the majority of Missouri public schools, all of whom have faced a severe loss of funding in the last two years. Very much to the financial difficulties facing school districts, Dr. Robert Buchanan, superintendent of Sikeston Schools, vowed to the Sikeston R-6 School Board Tuesday evening that he would make the Sikeston Public School Foundation one of his top priorities. The trust was created in 1990.
