MOREHOUSE -- Hubert Hill, 87, died May 20, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Feb. 4, 1918, in Wardell, son of the late Joe and Addie Hill, he had resided in Wardell before moving to Morehouse in 1951. He was a former custodian of the Morehouse Schools. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Morehouse General Baptist Church and the American Legion.
On Dec. 11, 1956, at Holly Springs, Miss., he married Margaret Elliott who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Rick Hill of Essex and Ted Elliot of Sikeston; two daughters, Alleen Eakers and Liz McNew of Morehouse; one sister, Aline Scott of Morehouse; and 12 grandchildren and 14 great-
grandchildren.
Two sons, Sonny Elliott and Tommy Elliott; three brothers; three sisters; and one grandson preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. today until time for services at 1 p.m. at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse. The Rev. Frank Breeden of Morehouse will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
