DEXTER - David Wilburn Noles Davidson, 78, died June 12, 2003, at the John J. Pershing Veterans Administration Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.

Born Nov. 23 1924, in Laural, Miss., son of the late Ira and Sarah Stamper Davidson, he was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Saucier, Miss., and the American Legion. He retired from the U.S. Air Force and had been an electronic engineering teacher.

On March 21, 1998, in Saucier, he married Shirley Fowler who survives of the home.

He was preceded in death by one son, Michael Davidson; and two brothers, Bert Davidson and Billy Davidson.

Other survivors include: two daughters, Jacquline Davidson of the state of California and Cissy Rushing of Dudley; and seven grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Sheley officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
